Equine Assisted Learning & Development

Life coaching with Horse as co-facilitator

Why Mustangs? In multi-sensory awareness (MSA), one is mindful of energy within, while at the same time observing the energy and activity of others. Wild horses are masters of MSA. They utilize their entire body to perceive their surroundings: thick hide protects them from harsh weather and is sensitive enough to feel a fly on their back, each ear hears multiple sounds, each eye sees a panoramic view. Their very survival depends on their MSA. By sustaining MSA and living only in the moment, wild horses know when it is safe to graze, sleep, play, move, etc, thereby staying powerfully connected. The complex social system of the wild horse demonstrates instant, non-judgmental feed-back for all relationships, empowering the human partner to accelerate their personal development potential.

Mustangs Mentoring Your Best Self

Marti shares how the horses helped her reshape her interaction with life!

"Our time working with the horses was magical and healing. It allowed my daughter and I the time and space to connect with each other and form an understanding of where we can improve our communication. The horses provided a path to see ourselves more clearly. Thank you horses and Steadfast Steeds!"

Meet Steadfast Steeds Equine Assisted Learning Facilitators

    Blaine and Tracy Scott

Tracy Scott is the president and founding partner of Steadfast Steeds Mustang Horse Sanctuary of Western Colorado - established in 2010.  Involved with horses for 40+ years, the past 20 years have focused on extensive study, advocacy, and partnerships with wild horses in the 10 Western United States - helping formerly wild horses adapt healthily to domestic settings.

As a 15-year certified equine-assisted learning coach, Tracy socializes mustangs for coaching and therapy programs while educating the public about their wild horses.

As an EAL facilitator, Tracy includes remote coaching with the mustangs, as well as on-site coaching.

Blaine Scott, M. Div., is the other founding partner. An ordained clergy, Blaine has led conference design teams, church staffs and congregations since the 1990’s.

Holding certifications in Family Systems approach and Equine-Assisted Learning, Blaine empowers individuals, employee teams, and families through personal and professional development coaching.

Tracy and Blaine enjoy investing time with family, playing with their rescue dogs, and partnering with mustangs. Following years of studying and photographing horses and their family band relationships in the wilderness, they published Wild Horse Adventure: Exploring Colorado's Wild Horses in Their Natural Habitat. Another feature of their combined work includes, Thriving Habits of Mustang Families: Empowering people to live free and authentic lives within healthier communities.

Tracy and Blaine are available for keynote presentations and clinics, together or individually, within or outside of equine settings.

Each seminar and session is uniquely designed to fulfill your intentions and needs. An orientation helps you feel safe and calm - you always have voice and choice when participating. While interacting with horses, individuals are able to identify and shift their limiting behaviors and group patterns that prohibit them from gaining traction toward their best, daily satisfaction and resilience. The horses are utilized as co-facilitators, offering instant, non-judgmental feedback to the coach-ee. NO HORSE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
